SIX SIGMA BELTS

Training requirements for the different Six Sigma Belts

Six Sigma training is structured type training and it varies from country to country and organization to organization. Commonly Six Sigma training is provided in following modules:

Six Sigma Champion training
Six Sigma Green Belt training
Six Sigma Black Belt training
Six Sigma Master Black Belt training

Six Sigma Champion training is only introductory course for leaders of any organization and to teach them fundamentals, benefits, investment of Six Sigma Implementation.
Six Sigma Green belt training is from one week to 02 weeks duration. Purpose of this training is to train the people in such a way, that they can support Black Belts for Six Sigma project execution. After the training, an exam is conducted to check their competency level and certification.

Six Sigma Black Belt training is from 03-04 weeks comprehensive training. Black Belts are considered to be the project owner and they are responsible for their project. They are certified only, when they qualify the exam and submit and practical project, done by them independently.
Six Sigma Master Black Belt are those persons, who have sufficient experience as Six Sigma Black Belt and after some training, they are certified as Master Black Belt.
Commonly modules of Six Sigma training are briefly described in Black Belt training and contents for Champion and Green Belt training is sub part of this comprehensive training module. But Master Black Belt training is more in depth training of different module of Black Belt training.
